In order to meet the requirements of high-speed operation, the accuracy and performance of high-speed electric spindles need to meet relevant standards, and sometimes maintenance is also required. There should be certain methods for the maintenance of high-speed electric spindles.

1. Measure static and dynamic radial runout, lifting clearance, and axial displacement based on the damage of the electric spindle.


2. Special tools should be used to disassemble the electric spindle, clean and measure the rotor swing and wear.


3. Optional bearings. The consistency error of the inner and outer diameters of each set of bearings should be ≤ 0.002-0.003 millimeters, and a gap of 0.004-0.5 millimeters should be maintained with the inner hole of the sleeve; Maintain a gap of 0.0025-0.005 millimeters with the spindle. In practical operation, it is appropriate to use both thumbs to push the bearing into the sleeve.


4. Bearings should be kept clean and not contaminated to avoid affecting operation and reducing service life. More importantly, we should remind you not to use compressed air to blow the bearings.


5. Attention should be paid to the installation direction of conical bearings or angular contact ball bearings, otherwise the requirements for rotational accuracy cannot be met. The entire assembly process uses specialized tools to remove assembly errors and ensure assembly quality.


6. When the inner hole of the sleeve deforms, the roundness exceeds the tolerance, or the fit with the bearing is too loose, local electroplating can be used for compensation, and then ground to the required level. This method can also be used at the shaft neck.


7. The end faces of the round nuts, oil seals, and other parts on the high-speed electric spindle are in close contact with the end faces of the inner and outer rings of the bearing. Therefore, the perpendicularity between the threaded part and the end face is very high, and the contact condition can be checked using the coloring method.


8. After the assembly of the high-speed electric spindle, axial adjustment should be carried out to measure whether the clearance meets the standard and whether each part is consistent, which needs to meet the assembly process requirements.


9. Under the actual operating conditions of the machine, it is necessary to eliminate the influence of factors such as assembly and thermal deformation during machine operation, and apply a dynamic balancing instrument to dynamically balance the rotor at a certain speed.
