Electric spindle technology is one of the technologies for achieving high-precision and high-speed operation of CNC lathes, and it is also a technology research that cannot be ignored to improve the overall performance of products. If the overall performance requirements for CNC lathes are strict, high-quality precision bearings need to be assembled. Among the mainstream CNC lathe products in China, angular contact ceramic ball bearings have been widely used due to their excellent radial bearing capacity and axial load capacity. It also has the advantages of simple structure, fast speed, high stiffness, and wide variety and specifications. It is one of the dominant types of modern electric spindle products.
The electric spindle used in CNC lathes mainly has two internal heat sources, namely the heating of the spindle bearings and the heating of the built-in motor. If not effectively controlled, it may lead to severe thermal deformation of CNC lathe products, and even reduce their machining accuracy and overall service life. Due to the fact that the electric spindle of CNC lathes mainly adopts a built-in spindle structure, and its motor is located inside the spindle unit, traditional fan cooling methods cannot be used, resulting in relatively poor heat dissipation capacity of the machine tool itself. Therefore, during the operation of the CNC lathe electric spindle, effective cooling measures need to be taken to accelerate energy conversion, that is, to promote the increase of internal functional losses of the motor, thereby promoting rapid heat dissipation of the motor. Therefore, the main way to solve the problem of motor heat dissipation is to use the circulating flow of coolant in the stator of the electric spindle motor to forcibly cool the motor, thereby accelerating the local heat dissipation of the motor.
Adopt reasonable and effective bearing lubrication methods to strengthen control over uneven temperature rise of bearings. Modern CNC lathe products have high requirements for the stability and accuracy of the machining system, so it is necessary to choose a reasonable lubrication method. In the lubrication process of the electric spindle, insufficient or excessive oil supply has certain hazards, but in the application of oil mist lubrication and grease lubrication, the oil supply is difficult to control, making it difficult to ensure the speed and service life of the electric spindle bearings. The actual effect of oil air lubrication is ideal and has the advantage of high reliability.
