1. Under ring smoothing is an improved smoothing method, which can be divided into under ring oil smoothing and under ring oil and gas smoothing. When implementing oil or gas lubrication under the ring, the smooth oil or gas is sprayed into the smooth area from the inner ring of the bearing. Under the action of centrifugal force, the smooth oil is more likely to reach the smooth area of the bearing, which is better than general spray lubrication and gas lubrication. It can further improve the speed of the bearing. For example, in general oil and gas lubrication, the dn value of angular contact ceramic ball bearings is about 2.0 × 106. By increasing the oil and gas pressure, the dn value can be improved to 2.2 × 106, while using oil and gas lubrication under the ring can achieve 2.5 × 106.

2. Spray smoothing is the direct use of high-pressure smoothing oil to smooth and cool bearings, which consumes a lot of power and is costly. It is commonly used in ultra high speed spindles with DN values above 2.5 × 106.
3. Smooth grease does not require any equipment and is a commonly used smoothing method for low-speed electric spindles. For electric spindles with DN values above 1.0 × 106, the oil smoothing method is often used.
4. Oil and gas smoothing is the process of uniformly carrying a small amount of smooth oil along a dedicated oil and gas pipeline wall through compressed air without atomization, in a timed and quantitative manner, to the smooth area of the bearing. Smooth oil plays a role in smoothing, while compressed air promotes the movement of smooth oil and cools bearings. Oil and gas are always in a separated state, which is conducive to the recovery of smooth oil without polluting the environment.
When implementing oil and gas smoothing, it is generally required that each bearing has its own oil and gas nozzle, and there are strict requirements for the position of the bearing eruption, otherwise it is difficult to ensure smooth operation. The effect of oil and gas smoothing is also affected by the compressed air flow rate and oil and gas pressure. Generally speaking, increasing the air flow rate can improve the cooling effect, while increasing the oil and gas pressure can not only improve the cooling effect, but also help the smooth oil reach the smooth area. Therefore, increasing the oil and gas pressure can help improve the speed of the bearing.
Experiments have shown that increasing pressure compared to using conventional pressure for oil and gas smoothing can increase the speed of bearings by 20%.
5. Smooth oil mist is the process of atomizing smooth oil (such as turbine oil) with pressure air to smooth the electric spindle bearings. This method is easy to complete, the equipment is simple, and the oil mist has both a smoothing function and a cooling effect on the bearings. However, the oil mist is not easy to recover and causes severe environmental pollution, so it is gradually being replaced by new oil and gas smoothing methods.
