Repair techniques for precision electric spindles

When the inner hole of the sleeve deforms, the roundness exceeds the tolerance, or the bearing is not properly matched, the local electroplating method can be selected for compensation, and then ground to the required requirements. This method can also be used for shaft necks.


Choose the appropriate bearings. The inner hole and outer diameter of each set of bearings should be consistent, with an error of ≤ 0.002~0.003 mm, and sleeve inner holes are not allowed.


The gap is between 0.004 millimeters and 0.008 millimeters; Keep the spindle between 0.0025mm and 0.005mm. In practical operation, it is best to use both thumbs to push the bearing into the sleeve. The deformation of the outer ring of the bearing is too tight, the temperature rise of the bearing is too high, and looseness causes a decrease in the rigidity of the grinding head.


Use self-made specialized tools to disassemble the electric spindle, clean and measure the rotor swing and wear.


The end faces of precision electric spindle round nuts, oil seal covers, and other parts cannot be in close contact with the end faces of the inner and outer rings of the bearing, so the requirement for a right angle between the threaded part and the end face is very high. Coloring method can be used to check the contact status. If the contact rate is less than 80%, the end face can be ground to achieve the required straightness. This work is very important, as its accuracy will affect the radial runout of the grinder spindle connecting rod, which in turn affects the surface roughness of the ground workpiece.


Keeping the bearings clean is an important part of ensuring their normal operation and service life. It is strictly prohibited to use compressed air to blow the bearings, as hard particles will be pressed in, causing the raceway to become rough.


Precision electric spindleAfter installation, axial adjustment should be carried out (measured with a tension spring scale), and static and dynamic radial runout should be measured to increase the gap until the installation process requirements are met.


Cone or angular contact ball bearings must pay attention to the direction of the bearing device, otherwise it cannot meet the requirements of reverse accuracy. The entire process uses specialized tools to eliminate installation errors and ensure the quality of installation.
