Precision electric spindle is a commonly used mechanical spindle in the industrial CNC machine tool industry in recent years. However, precision electric spindles are high-speed components in industrial equipment such as CNC machine tools, so it is necessary to pay attention to their use and maintenance.
1、 When the motor precision electric spindle is not used for a long time, a tool holder needs to be installed on the spindle mainly to protect the taper hole of the tool;
2、 If using a precision electric spindle, it is recommended not to use compressed gas nozzles to clean the spindle. Because it can easily allow dust to enter the sealed position of the spindle, damaging the precision electric spindle. You can use a soft cloth for cleaning.
In addition, for the maintenance of precision electric spindles, check the air pressure, cooling system, and lubricating oil of the electric spindle every week. Clean the spindle with a soft cloth every day and check if the handle is rusted.
The structure of precision electric spindles is quite compact, and they all work at high speeds. The key technology lies in how to effectively control the heat generated by their operation. The temperature of the electric spindle is mainly reflected in two heat sources: one is the electric motor installed inside, and the other is the heat generated by the electric spindle bearings. The analysis and inspection results indicate that the temperature of the rotor can reach 140 ℃~160 ℃, and the temperature of the stator can reach 45 ℃~85 ℃. In order to effectively and quickly cool the high-speed rotating electric spindle, the outer wall of the electric spindle is usually filled with circulating coolant under normal conditions, which is strictly controlled within a constant temperature. Overall, it is believed that cooling circuits can have four different functions.
Spindle cooling: In order to reduce the elongation of the spindle front end and protect the spindle bearings, a spindle cooling circuit is adopted. The cooling circuit of the spindle can maintain the temperature of the spindle at a certain value regardless of the speed of the spindle, thereby ensuring that the heating temperature of the motor does not affect the temperature of the spindle.
Motor cooling: In order to maintain the temperature of the outer shell of the spindle part consistent with room temperature, a motor cooling circuit is used to increase the external heat dissipation function of the motor, thereby achieving the expected goal.
The cooling method for the tool inner hole is to open the one-way valve of the tool inner hole by rotating the middle hole of the distributor under a pressure of 80kPa, and the coolant is sprayed out from the middle hole of the tool holder. In order to achieve rapid heat dissipation of the high-speed rotating electric spindle, people usually use circulating coolant on the outer wall of the electric spindle to absorb and take away the heat generated by the motor, ensuring uniform temperature distribution of the electric spindle housing. The purpose of using cooling devices is to ensure the temperature of the coolant, usually water is used as the coolant for electric spindles. When the electric spindle is running at high speed, the noise generated should be below 70 decibels to 75 decibels (A).
