Special manufacturing techniques have improved this precision, providing high rotational and axial accuracy. The planning of the air electric spindle is to achieve rotational accuracy of less than 0.1 micrometers TIR in both axial and radial directions. Because there is no mechanical contact between the rotating rotor and some static supports, there is no wear and tear, ensuring that the accuracy remains stable - this is a major characteristic of manufacturers' statistical processing of operating holes.

2. High speed

The low shear force inside the bearings of the air electric spindle can provide high speed, reduce power loss, and minimize heat generation. The rotational speed can exceed 300000 revolutions per minute. The bearing resistance of the air electric spindle is low, allowing for higher speeds while maintaining lower vibration levels. The conflict causes minimal rotational resistance to the air bearing, resulting in minimal power loss and heat generation. This allows the rotor to operate at high surface speeds. In some electric spindles, higher rotational speeds increase the hardness of the bearings, which is caused by aerodynamic and reverse stiffening characteristics.

3. Increase tool life

The use of air electric spindles means that the tool life can be extended.

Lower oscillation and higher rotational accuracy mean that drill bits, tools, and drilling equipment have longer lifespans, thereby reducing maintenance and operational costs. Especially in the PCB drilling profession, the diameter of the drilling needle currently used is as small as 50 microns. Only when the air electric spindle operates at the required speed can the tool life meet the requirements.
