Electric spindleIt is a new skill that has emerged in the field of CNC machine tools in recent years, integrating machine tool spindles and spindle motors. Along with linear motor skills and high-speed tool skills, it will usher high-speed machining into a new era. Electric spindle is a set of components that includes the electric spindle itself and its accessories: electric spindle, high-frequency frequency conversion equipment, oil mist smoother, cooling equipment, built-in encoder, and tool changer.


Skills integrated by electric spindle:


High speed bearing skills: Composite ceramic bearings are generally used for electric spindles, which are wear-resistant and heat-resistant, and have a lifespan several times longer than traditional bearings; Sometimes electromagnetic suspension bearings or hydrostatic bearings are also used, with no contact between the inner and outer rings, theoretically having an infinite lifespan;


High speed motor skills: An electric spindle is a product of the fusion of an electric motor and a spindle. The rotor of the electric motor is the rotating part of the spindle, and theoretically, the electric spindle can be regarded as a high-speed electric motor. The key skill is dynamic balance at high speeds;


Smooth: The smoothness of the electric spindle is generally achieved through timed and quantitative oil and gas smoothing; You can also choose to use smooth grease, but the corresponding speed needs to be discounted. The so-called punctuality means refueling at regular intervals. The so-called quantitative refers to the precise control of the amount of smooth oil each time through a device called a quantitative valve. And oil and gas smoothness refers to the smooth oil being carried by compressed air and blown into ceramic bearings. Oil control is very important, too little will not achieve a smooth effect; Too much, it will generate heat due to the resistance of oil when the bearing rotates at high speed.


Cooling equipment: In order to quickly dissipate heat from the high-speed running electric spindle, a circulating coolant is generally applied to the outer wall of the electric spindle. The effect of the cooling equipment is to maintain the temperature of the coolant.


Built in pulse encoder: In order to achieve active tool changing and rigid thread tapping, the electric spindle is equipped with a pulse encoder to achieve precise phase angle control and coordination with feed.


Active tool changing equipment: In order to be applied to machining centers, the electric spindle is equipped with an active tool changing equipment, including disc springs, tool pulling cylinders, etc;


The clamping method of high-speed cutting tools: The well-known BT and ISO cutting tools have been proven to be unsuitable for high-speed machining. In this case, high-speed cutting tools such as HSK and SKI are presented.


High frequency frequency conversion equipment: To achieve a speed of tens of thousands or even tens of thousands of revolutions per minute for the electric spindle, a high-frequency frequency conversion equipment is needed to drive the built-in high-speed motor of the electric spindle. The output frequency of the frequency converter needs to reach thousands or even thousands of hertz.
